Woods' Peppermint Antitussive 7.5 mg / 12.5 mg

Indication

Antitussive plus antihistamine cough syrup for relief of non-productive (dry) cough due to allergy.

Ingredients

• Dextromethorphan HBr 7.5 mg/5 mL
• Diphenhydramine HCl 12.5 mg/5 mL

Direction

Oral. Adults and children over 12 years: 2 teaspoonfuls (10 mL) 3 times a day. Children 6-12 years: 1 teaspoonful (5 mL) 3 times a day. Shake well before use.

Side effects

• Drowsiness
• Dizziness
• Vomiting
• Constipation
• Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if a serious or allergic reaction occurs

Precautions

• Contraindicated in pregnancy
• breastfeeding
• glaucoma
• bronchial asthma
• respiratory failure
• or hypersensitivity to any ingredient
• May cause drowsiness
• do not drive or operate machinery while using this medicine
• Special caution in patients taking alcohol or tranquilizers
• Not recommended for productive cough (cough with phlegm)
• If cough persists after 3 days
• consult a physician
• Not recommended for children under 6 years except on a physician's advice
• Use with caution in hepatic disorders and in patients with drowsiness
• debility or hypoxia
• Do not use with MAO inhibitors (risk of CNS stimulation and severe respiratory depression)
